The Rural Law Center provides training services in a wide range of areas. Training sessions, mostly in the form of one-day seminars and workshops, are designed to specifically address legal issues critical to low-income individuals in New York's rural counties, as well as to rural service providers. Participant groups have included senior citizen groups, youth groups, high school and college classes, social workers, probation officers, school counselors and administrators, health care providers, Special Education advocates and Family Court mediators. Syllabus and curriculum materials are arranged to suit the needs of each group. These sessions can be arranged at various locations throughout rural New York. Inquiries should be directed to the Center's main office in Plattsburgh, New York. |
